If you've been following along, congrats for sticking with it. Your hard work will pay off, I promise!
These exercises are supposed to be practiced at separate times. If you try to do them all in the same session, your pup will get confused and you will get frustrated. There is just no way around it. It would be like combining multiple subjects in school into the same hour. Could you imagine learning Spanish while looking at organisms through a microscope? Not gonna happen.
As you take on the following assignments for this week, take your time and don't be in a rush. All dogs work at a different pace. Most importantly, have fun with your dog and practice patience. If your dog would rather sniff around than play with your toy or eat the treat you have, then address it. Raise the value of your treat by trying chicken or real bacon. If you're using a toy, get EXCITED instead of just shaking it twice and expecting your dog to care about it.
GOOD LUCK, you're almost there!!
